Sustainability was the focal point of this renovation of a historic TriBeCa building into mixed-use residential and office spaces. A lush green wall cloaked in marble and antique mirror provides a sense of relief as one steps inside from the hustle-bustle of lower Manhattan. Amenity spaces include distinctive garden spaces carved out from the building’s brick walls and stone foundations. A sense of history and mystery is revealed by this process of excavation, with moss and vines creeping along vertical surfaces and cables. Upper roof terraces include built-in kitchens and lush perimeter plantings.
