Future Green to design outdoor space with local non-profit as part of this year’s desigNYC project
desigNYC has paired Future Green Studio with Fifth Avenue Committee, a South Brooklyn non-profit that develops mixed-income communities and creates economic opportunities for residents. The project includes a multi-use outdoor space for a new housing complex that Fifth Avenue is building in Red Hook, home to Future Green Studio. In desigNYC’s fifth year of collaborations, they have chosen the theme of ‘resiliency’, noting that it isn’t just flood planning that we need in order to be resilient, but also networks of people, organization, and environmental sustainability.
