Cornell University Residential Tower project is featured on the New York Times
Future Green Studio has collaborated with Handel Architects on the penthouse terrace design for the Cornell University Roosevelt Island Technology Campus residential tower. Integral to the overall mission of the campus to be net-zero, principles of sustainability and passive housing govern the terrace design. Landscape features include two terraced green roofs with perennials and meadow grasses, built-in benches made of locally sourced wood, and linear planters.
The residential tower will accommodate 350 students, faculty and staff. Construction has begun June 2015 and is slated for completion in 2017.
