Future Green Studio’s 345 Meatpacking project is Featured in the October 2015 issue of Architectural Digest
Future Green Studio’s project with DDG Architects at 345 West 14th Street in Manhattan has been featured in the October 2015 issue of Architectural Digest. Check out the article here. The penthouse features a unique integration of landscape into the built environment with the addition of four varieties of vines to create a vertical garden, tiered mahogany planters and lush terrace ledges planted with perennials and meadow grasses. Resilient, drought tolerant native plants were incorporated into the design to foster the building’s edgy identity while keeping the landscape maintenance low. The “wild industrial look” of the planting palette pulls from the aesthetic of the neighboring High Line and complements the sleek lines of the penthouse’s custom architectural brickwork and wooden canopy.
