Located directly above Penn Station on a double wide block in Manhattan, 2 Penn Plaza is the transformation of a 1968 office building into an iconic, world class tower that sits at the gateway of Seventh Avenue atop the busiest transportation hub in North America. With landscape integrated at every story, Future Green designed a series of terraces for working, socializing and events. Each terrace has a distinct function reflected in bespoke landscape elements tailored for specific programs. The landscape at the second floor sky lobby terrace is lush and inviting, a verdant welcome to the building. The roof includes spaces for community events with a wood clad amphitheater, open lawn, and pergola; as well as more intimate spaces for breakout, collaboration sessions.
